Description
I have decided to sell a long time project of mine. It is a 1951 GMC 1 ton dually. Everything mechnically about the truck is mechanically sound. All the brake components are new. The same goes for all the suspension bushings and steering components. All wheel bearings and seals are in excelent shape. The engine is a 235 straight six mated to a 4 speed transmission. The carburator has been rebuilt and the fuel tank has been relined on the inside. All of the fuel lines have also been replaced. The truck has been converted to a 12 Volt system by the previous owner, but some of the wiring does need to be redone. I instaled a new Chevy 1 wire alternator and replaced the battery leads. The body work on the truck is in need of completion. I have replaced both rear cab corners on the truck with LMC panels. I also cut out the entire floorboard and replaced it. I purchased doors from a 49 model truck to eliminate the vent windows and replaced the lower inner and outer panels on said doors, also LMC truck panels. I started on the body work with my grandfather, but recently have not had the time to work on it. I can get detailed pictures upon request. I have the left front fender but took it off to do some of the body work. I also have the emblems and grill, which is not pictured. The truck runs and drives great, and you are welcome to test drive it if you want. It had a flat bed on it, but i cut it off with intentions of building a nicer one. (The old one had seen its better days.) I also have a newer model rear axle thatis included that i intended to install to give the truck a higher gear to run more freely down the highway. I have afew other misc. parts I will through in also. I am asking $2000 for the truck, but i am negotiable on the price. I would like to see someone else get some use and enjoyment out of it.Feel free to contact me with any other information. Located in Cordova AL. Â Â
